Wacky Wednesday Thanksgiving

Hi friends! How's holiday shopping going along? Hope it isn't too stressful... hahaha... I know that Thanksgiving just ended but it's almost CHRISTMAS!!! my fav holiday... and it's not because of the presents... although it's a bonus... it's the meaning behind it that makes me love Christmas so much! you ought to find out if you don't know...

but for this weeks wacky Wed I am gonna share with you all how it went... among the loads of cooking and loads of cleaning there was also tons of FUN!
it's a tradition for my family, we all cook a dish... so there was tons of dishes... ahem! I do have 9 sisters... and the guys cooked too! so because we only have a gas stove with 4 fire thingy and only 3 out of the 4 works, we spent our time putting up the Christmas tree and watched Christmas movies... that is a tradition also... when 7 o'clock rolled around we finally got to eating... We watched Spiderman 4 and Brave before we all retired to bed...

so how did your Thanksgiving went?

ps... i didn't realize that we had so much "yellow" food until fixing the picture... lol...

Mani Monday Mint Ombre

Hey guys! Did you guys have an awesome Thanksgiving? How about black friday

Today for Mani Monday it's ombre... it's slightly out of style but I can careless... I have always done this though... or rainbow colors... you know... do whatever makes you feel good... appropriately and in moderation if you know what I mean...

here we have, l-r, Revlon's 320 Jaded, Sally Hansen's Jade Jump, Nabi's Pastel Misty, Sinful Color's Rise and Shine and Icing's Marine Blue.

Everytime I have this on my nails I always get complements... "it's simple and suttle. Really cute."
I tend to do this a lot a lot because I have so much much much (to the 4th power) of nail polishes that I gotta use them somehow... on myself that is...

ALSO make sure you use a good base when using greens and blues... they leave a yellow residue that isn't pretty!

Wacky Wed Snakes!

Heya! How's your mid-week coming along? So on the 10 of November we went to the Christian Community Fair... we only stayed there for a couple of hours but we had a BLAST! it was so fun! we actually thought that Bob and Larry was gonna be there... ha! maybe they were... they just went home early... hahaha... we'll never know... there were tons of animals (petting zoo), inflatables, vendors, food and live music... I have seen snakes before... you know like at the zoo and such... but I have never touched on before... I did here... I touch a small red and black one (don't know the species) and then I touched a big python! yeah! and Genesis did too! the small one was ok... but the python is nasty!

the first area we went to was the petting zoo... we spent about half an hour there... and then we went to the inflatables... and spent about almost 45 mins there... and then we went to see all the vendors... and then some more inflatables and live music... and then we got hungry (live music was kinda in front of the food vendors) so we went home... we were only there for a short periord of time but it was very tiring...

Tip Tuesday Curl Flat Iron Style

hey you all! We all love multi purpose items right? I'll admit it... I DO! I love the fact that my brown matte eyeshadow can be used as eyeshadow, brow powder bronzer and contouring... hahaha... so here is a tip on using your flat iron as a curling iron...

I know... old news... someone is gonna say, "we're not into flat irons no more... we are into clipless curling irons." Well, I have news for you... "Whatever!" lol... you use whatever floats your boat! and mines is a flatiron...

Seriously... about a year after the "flat iron" was out I was still not using it because I didn't know how to... curling my hair with it that is... (I have naturally straight hair and could careless if I have a slight kinky wave to it.)
Until around Christmas time a couple years back... my family we flew to my hometown CA~ and my sisters wouldn't let me bring my fav. curling iron... (I took an extra pair of shoes instead.) I was forced to learn! the first time using it was pretty much a FAIL! even my guy cousin said so... he said, "you should tie ALL your hair."

SO ENOUGH BLABING... here is your tip!

First things first... PROTECT YOUR HAIR!!! use a heat product... if you are picky, pick whatever expensive nice smellin hot product you have... I love the cheapy Suave one... it smells so good!

there are two ways your curl can curl... first one is curling outwards away from your face, the second one is curling inwards towards your face...

*if you want your curl to curl outwards, then you have to make sure that the "tail" of your hair is closet to your chin/ on the inside (picture # 1&3).

*if you want your curl to curl inwards, then you have to make sure that the "tail" of your hair is closet to your shoulders/ on the outside (picture # 2&4)

that's it... simple as that... not hard right?

the one I am using here is an old Remington one... I really love this one because the heated plates part is really long... it's rare to find one like that... I have many flat irons but I have yet to find a longer one like this... if you know of one please let me know so I can check it out...

Hi friends! Have you guys ever had a song stuck in your head... and it just simple won't get out?

TIP! if you have a song stuck in your head... listen to the whole song... might take a couple of tries but the song will get out...

so... my sister has been listening to this song everytime she does her art projects... she does it right in the kitchen (sadly that's the best lighting room in our house) so I am stuck hearing it... along with whatever I am watching... CRIMINAL MINDS! but I don't mind because she doesn't blast it and I like the song...

Food Friday Ramen

Hiya foodies! My internet has been down lately... I've notice that it tends to be slow or down when the weather changes... such as a thunderstorm or when it's snowing... doesn't that happen to you guys? IT'S REALLY ANNOYING!!! there are days when there is no internet the whole day... so why am I paying for "no" internet?

We all like simple foods right? Is ramen simple? you been the judge... it's lazy food for me... so is pho... but whatever! hahaha... but on this particullar day I was really really lazy!
I don't like my noodles soggy or salty... so I usually make my stock and then pour the hot stock on top of my noodles until just covered and then I let it sit for not even 5 mins... and then eat it...
on this lazy day I threw everything in there... powder, noodles, "dried veggies" and cabbage to make it more "fancy"... it was delish! it tasted like wonton soup... but I still prefer my style of ramen... old habbits die hard, you know what I mean...

how do ya'll like your ramen? whatever style you all like I think there is a comfort aspect to simple warm food... have an awesomely yummy day!
